CASCMA is Canada’s only national Shelter and Community Medicine organization. Our continuing education events and curated CE tracks have included speakers from Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. In partnership with Humane Canada, we have embedded Shelter and Community Medicine in Canada’s only national animal welfare conference, the Summit for Animals.

As a part of our 2025 – 2028 Strategic Plan, CASCMA has submitted an official application for Canadian Charitable Status. If successful, this will allow CASCMA to not only receive donations from individuals (who would then receive an official tax receipt), but also granting organizations.

CASCMA is entirely funded through individual and organizational membership, individual donations as well as corporate sponsorship.
